Army & Poonch police busted hideout recovered 3 AK rifles & ammunition

Rajouri, Jan 15: Security Forces in the Poonch district have busted a hideout of the terrorists in a forest in the Nabana general area under the jurisdiction of the Surankot police station & recovered 3 AK rifles along with magazines & rounds.
Reliable sources said that on intelligence inputs, Special Operation Group (SOG) of district Poonch police in collaboration with troops of 16 RR and Grenadier Bn carried out a joint search operation in the afternoon on Sunday in a forest adjoining Nabana village in Surankot tehsil.
After following required security measures, the troops busted the hideout and recovered #-AK Rifles along with 3- magazines and 26 rounds, 10- hand grenades, and 1-Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) hidden under big rocks.
Reportedly the grenade will be destroyed through a controlled explosion.
On October 17, SFs busted a militant hideout in the Surankot tehsil and recovered 1-Pistol with a magazine, 4-UBGL grenades, and 1- HE 36 hand grenade.
On December 25, Medhar police arrested an over ground worker (OGW) namely Tayab Khan, and recovered one Chinese Pistol along with ammunition.
