Four Vehicles Seized for Illegal Mining in Doda, ₹45,000 Fine Imposed

Doda, July 9: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, the Doda Police seized four vehicles for transporting mining material without valid documents and imposed a total fine of ₹45,000.
During naka checking at Karara, a tipper bearing registration JK06C-1393, driven by Umar Akbar Shah, son of Mohd. Akbar Shah, a resident of Pranoo, Doda, was intercepted and found carrying sand without a valid E-Challan/Form F. The vehicle was seized and the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Doda, was informed.
In another case, a dumper bearing registration JK04K-5300, driven by Must Ram, son of Khakru, a resident of Chachwah, Ramban, was stopped at Karara Naka and found transporting mineral dust without an E-Challan/Form A and without a tarpaulin sheet. The vehicle was seized and the DMO informed.
Similarly, a tipper bearing registration JK06-5922, driven by Ishpaq Ahmed, son of Shamas Din, a resident of Malhota, Thatri, Doda, was intercepted during checking outside the Police Post and found carrying mineral dust without a valid E-Challan/Form F. The vehicle was also seized and the DMO was informed.
In total, four vehicles were seized during the enforcement drive, and a fine of ₹45,000 was imposed for violations of the mining regulations. Authorities stated that the drive against illegal mining will continue, and strict action will be taken against violators.
