JDA-Revenue enter in blame-game over demarcation & eviction of land
*It is the Khasra No 985/1 and the land is 41 kanals and 11 marlas but both the departments are busy in blame-game rather than to have any solution.
*Mr LG Manoj Sinha, it seems that both departments least bother for the state, law and your office. Please send your roving eyes to tackle them.
Jammu, Mar 05:
JDA (Jammu Development Authority) was created in 1970, under the J&K Development Act No 19 of 1970. It was transferred as a resource all the vacant Nazool land located within 13 km radius of the Jammu city. With this land bank and a handful of human resource, JDA started its odyssey to manage the land, develop it to create better infrastructure and in the process catering to the needs and demands of the fast expanding Jammu urban area. Over the years it succeeded in creating significant infrastructure, commercial and office complexes, residential colonies, parks and green belts beautiful rotaries with statues and institutions of art. It also prepared Master Plans for the Jammu City.
But now the JDA is turning totally contrary to that one and with each passing day it is losing its own agenda as there are several wrong doings are in it. There are several reasons for attenuation of JDA and one of the foremost reasons is dearth of professional and hardworking employees. Most of the JDA employees are come to office only to kill the time as the files have been lying in their for several months together for disposal.
Let me substantiate my words, in 1975 the land was transferred to JDA under Khasra No 985/1 at Paloura now Jammu North district and the land was 41 kanal 11 marlas. The intriguing part of the story is that the JDA failed to get the land demarcated by the Revenue department. This is complete inefficacy of JDA department but they are busy in blame-game. The revenue department has said that they have given a list containing the names of encroachers to JDA to proceed further against them but the JDA is only busy in mudslinging.
The blame-game between JDA and Revenue department is going on but the output is big zero as both the department are having shabby image. Both are the wings of Jammu & Kashmir administration but they are on logger-heads as both think themselves as a good department.
In the eyes of people and society both departments are shady and they need to be more laborious rather than callous and engaging themselves in blame-game.
Now the crux of story is that the officials of both departments should introspect themselves and then enter in a constructive meet to find out the ways how to evict the encroachers and land stealers.
