CBI flies another chargsheet against forger Saminder Singh in Court

Jammu, Jul 05: A new turn has occurred in the case of Saminder Singh @ Sourab Singh son of Late Darshan Singh resident of Narhi RS Pura Jammu as the CBI files another charge sheet in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu.
A FIR No 276/2019 was registered with PS Bahu Fort (Trikuta Nagar) Jammu was transferred to CBI vide UT government letter No 16-12-2023 against the said accused. The FIR was registered against him for preparing for fake/forged documents. The CBI took over the case on 27-02-2024 and started investigation after reregistering the case with their office under FIR No RC0042024A0001 against Sourab Singh S/o Late Darshan Singh R/o Narhi, RS Pura, Jammu U/s 420,467,468 and 471.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, Jammu, on 25.06.2024 filed charge sheet/challan against accused namely Saminder Singh alias Sourab Singh S/o Late Darshan Singh R/o Narhi, RS Pura, Jammu before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu after examining 40 witnesses.
It is being revealed that the accused has forged signatures on many letters including the then DC Jammu, AC Nazool and VC JDA. Moreover, he also forged a Roshni allotment order to mutate JDA land in his favour. Investigation also revealed that accused was hell bent to encroach JDA land measuring 26 Kanals 11 marlas right from Year 2013 and forged many documents.
It is pertinent to mention that on the complaint of accused Rohit Sharma the then Tehsildat Bahu was arrested in a trap case laid by Anti Corruption Bureau, Rajouri vide FIR No. 02/2022. On the basis of power of attorney, the accused was claiming and trap was laid on the then Tehsildar has also been proved fake and forged.
It has been substantiated by the fact that when the trap matter was transferred by the UT Government to CBI, Jammu, the agency took up the investigation after registering FIR No. RC0042023A0007 dated 28.03.2023 against Saminder alias Sourab and his Mother Kuldeep Kour and conducted an in-depth enquiry. Relying on witnesses and various documents, CBI, Jammu inter alia established that the irrevocable power of attorney in favour of Kuldeep Kour on basis of which Fard intekhab application was filed was in fact a forged document and the agency in December, 2023 has already charge sheeted Mother son duo namely Saminder singh alias Sourabh and Kuldeep Kour under sections 120-B IPC, 420 r/w 511 IPC, 471 & 201 IPC for hatching criminal conspiracy in fraudulently using forged Irrevocable general power of attorney documents as genuine and destroying evidence.
The CBI has ascertain that accused Saminder singh alias Sourav is already facing separate criminal cases/charges in NDPS Act, theft cases registered in PS Miran Sahib. It is being revealed that in 2015 the accused was already booked by Crime Brach Jammu.
