Samba Police on active mode nabs 08 thieves, 03 cases solved

Benam is terror for thieves!

• Within one month and under the wise directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, the Samba Police have arrested 32 thieves, whereas solved 14 theft cases and has sent a strong message to thieves to shun the theft or to face strict action.

Samba, Feb 07: Accepting the challenges of ongoing theft cases in the Samba district, the Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh who joined a month earlier has devised a strategy to contain the theft cases at earliest and in this concern, the police has put a grip on them to tighten the noose of thieves and the result is open that within one month, 32 thieves have been arrested and 14 theft cases have been solved.
The Samba police under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, have achieved another major breakthrough during their intensive drive against thieves and arrested eight (08) thieves including a gang involved in felling of ‘Khair’ trees & stealing ‘Khair’ wood and solved three more theft cases. Stolen property including wooden logs of ‘Khair’ trees worth Rupees 25000.00 (approx.), copper items worth Rupees 20000.00 (approx.) and barbed wire worth Rupees 5000.00 (approx.) have been recovered from the possession of arrested thieves.
The details of eight arrested thieves, among eight (08) arrested thieves, six (06) thieves have been arrested by SHO police station Purmandal Hardev Singh and Incharge police post Utterbehni PSI Ravi Kant; whereas two (02) thieves have been arrested by SHO police station Bari-Brahmana Sunil Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Naresh Singh Slathia S/o Mukhtiar Singh R/o Gurha Slathia, Altaf Hussain Liwal S/o Siraje Din R/o Gojar Basti Lower Munda Changoo Anantnag, Raju S/o Haidar Ali R/o Jolahan Purwa Asama Gonad (U.P), Firoj Ahmed S/o Subarati Ahmed R/o Naya Koluwa, Payagpur Baharaich (U.P), Nasar S/o Bashir Khardi R/o Bri Kamila Utterbehni, Sadam alias Zakar S/o Nazam Din R/o Bri Kamila Utterbehni, Shubam Kumar S/o Gurcharan Pal R/o Nakodar Punjab A/P Teli Basti Bari-Brahmana and Mithlesh Kumar Pandey S/o Umapati Pandey R/o Kolhuar Baghai Gopalganj Bihar A/P Ranibagh Satwari Jammu.
Total thirty two (32) thieves have been arrested by Samba police within a short period of one month and fourteen (14) theft cases have been solved, whereas stolen property of worth lacs has been recovered from thieves. It is the result of launching intensive drive against thieves on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh.
