8 encroachers encroached land meant for path, width varies 5.5 to 33 feet

Encroachment is encroachment!

  • The path is from Chaktroo to Chandak, which was kept by the then Maharaja to go for said temple but people have encroached it.

Poonch, Feb 06: The Tehsildar Haveli, Poonch has identified the encroachment on the path from Chaktroo to Chandak but the encroachers are still on the land, despite it has been clearly identified that thr path has been encroached at eight places.
The Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Bashir Khan Khattak KAS in his letter written to Assistant Commissioner (P) Poonch has clarified the width of the path in question, so that Rural Development Department may construct the path, which is in the revenue record.
The Tehsildar Haveli in his letter dated 23-04-2022 vide his office letter No TH/OQ/194-97 has identified the eight encroachers including a school, Madrasa and temple. Among eight encroachers, there is one big encroachers namely Mohd Sadiq son of Bagh Ali, who has constructed huge commercial building with shop and a big house on the encroached land of the path leading to Chandak Temple.
The District Administration must remove all the building and charge expensive from the encroachers.
There is a Carmel Convent School Chandak which has constricted boundary wall on the land meant for path in the revenue record. The path has the width varies from 5.5 feet to 33 feet but these encroachers have gulped the path meant for devotees to pay their obeisance in the temple. There is one Madarasa Falah Al Binat Chandak, which has encroached the land by constructing partial building on it. Javed Iqbal son of Mohd Azam also encroacher of the path and he has constructed partial building on the land meant for path.
Another person namely Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Bashir has constructed partial wall on the land of path, whereas Naseer Ahmed son of Mohd Rashid has also constructed partial wall on it. Mohad Sadeq son of Allah Din has also constructed the partial wall on the land in question. The report further said that some little portion of the temple building is also on the land meant for path but the path is meant for the temple.
The Tehsidlar said that he has demarcated the path and whenever the Rural Development Department would want to construct the path, the revenue department would get the land vacated immediately. He further added that he has informed the rural development department about the path and its encroachment but the RDD has not responded yet. He further told that very next day he would talk with Deputy Commissioner Poonch about this and very soon he would remove the encroachment.
