Jammu, Dec 26: The youth from different districts of Jammu Kashmir Union Territory has counted the failure of government and investigating agency and alleged that the officials actually responsible for paper leakage scam are still moving free and mere eye wash has been done to divert the public attention over the biggest recruitment scam.
While addressing a press conference under the banner of Youth Against Corruption Movement at Jammu, Mr Vinkal Sharma who is upcoming Anna Hazare of Jammu has raised serious questions on the government that failed to take the strict action in various paper leak scams. The members raised questions on working of government and said that scams in recruitments are not a secret anymore and recently five exams in J&K were cancelled due to irregularities including JKPSI, FAA, JE, Assistant Registrar and Junior Assistant in KU. These exams were scrapped due to irregularities held in conducting of exam and paper leaks. Fire and Emergency services recruitment is under investigation. Youth of state suffering from acute unemployment rate which is not hidden from national agencies too. Though UT govt is providing jobs yet from past 4 years and 2 years after corona those jobs are on paper only and negligible on the ground. All major recruitments were only a lollipop for youth, whereas the recruitment processes are still incomplete. The corruption has eroded the trust of youth over LG administration since July 08 following his statement that culprits will not be spared but it has appeared a mere statement only. Ironically, the CBI has neither provided a list to debar the candidates from taking part in future exams nor JKSSB requested for the same. As result every scammer was allowed to appear in exam.
Expressing wonder, he said that till today no FIR has been registered in concern of scam in JE recruitment exam. All those aspirants who were involved in scam were allowed to appear in the exam, which is cruel joke with the system itself. He said that there was news that that scam is of about Rs 150 to 200 crore but no one knows where about of the money pumped in corruption. He exhorted that the enquiry committee has submitted its report saying that tender was given to a blacklisted firm and then JKSSB has said that it was by mistake, but now the JKSSB awarded tender to a blacklisted firm despite knowing about the firm and even after protest lodged by aspirants. JKSSB not stopped here but it has crossed all limits and strategically defended a blacklisted firm in the court of Double Bench and pleading stay on judgement of single bench. He said that single bench of High Court has ordered a judicial inquiry by a retired High Court Judge and the government got scared from the judicially inquiry and went to court for a stay. They alleged that JKSSB has forced the aspirants to appear in exam conducted by a blacklisted company.
The aspirants alleged that state is defending a blacklisted company, which is itself a million dollar question and the blacklisted company is silently watching this. Aspirant Kartik Bhagat said that MoS PMO Dr Jatinder Singh posts on even small issue or his achievement on facebook/twitter but no one has seen not a single post or comment regarding the scam and corruption in recruitments. He questioned over the silence of Dr Jatinder Singh who is elected representative of youth of Jammu? He said that his silence clearly indicates that Dr Jatinder Singh is not interested in affairs related to youth of Jammu. He blamed the opposition parties for not protested against the biggest recruitment scam in Jammu & Kashmir but they are only concerned for conduction of elections in J&K and not for the voters who will vote for them. He slammed the opposition parties for opting criminal silence over the scam in recruitment process.
While demanding to enact a stringent law especially for paper leak and corruption in recruitment process, Vinkal Sharma said that Youth Against Corruption is in view that there must be immediate enactment of a strict law dedicated to paper leak with provisions to punish private as well as government Employee facilitating cheating by paper leak with punishments like immediate suspension and termination. He further said that the prevailing acts are common to every crime and has no specific relvance in the recruitment scam.
Atul Sudan raised questions on CBI action in JKPSI case and demanded to stop this recruitment mafia from playing with future of JKUT. He further demanded that involvement of private players in the conduct of recruitment exam should be restricted and JKSSB should be asked to conduct exam by itself using Government Setup and other human resources. He added that so that accountability be fixed and these bureaucrats will take recruitment process seriously.
