559 cases registered, 778 drug-peddlers arrested, huge recovery of narco made in two years

• The police of Jammu district under the wise guidance of SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli have taken the challenge of drug menace and very soon it will be drug free district.

Jammu, Dec 23: The police of Jammu district under the wise guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Chandan Kohli have accepted the challenge being posed by the drug-peddlers and launched a crusade against the drug-menace to neutralize the Jammu district from this hazard.
Since the joining of Chandan Kohli as SSP Jammu the police of Jammu district has got a special impetus for providing the best policing to curb all sort of crimes including drug-peddling, which is the not only dangerous but fatal by nature. The police of Jammu district have become so active to take any sort of challenge and can manage any type of situation.
In the year of 2022, till date, the Jammu police has registered 289 cases under NDPS Act and out of 289 cases, the police has challaned 200 cases and the remaining 89 cases are under investigation, which would be investigated within time framework, so that the persons who are spreading the drug menace in Jammu must be awarded lifer, whereas, the police has arrested 407 drug-peddlers to make the Jammu drug-free district. There is not a single case, where the police remained unable to trace the accused.
Police has recovered much narco related substances from the accused and seized. The police recovered 7 kilograms, 400 grams, 69 Mgms of Charas; 485 kilograms & 315 grams of Poppy Straw; 15 kilogram, 509 grams & 963 Mg of Heroin; 191 kilograms, 38 grams & 39 Mg of Ganja; 10 grams of Brown Sugar; 702 grams of methaqualone; 3 kilograms, 52 grams & 58 Mgms of Opium; 5216 capsules; 467 tablet; 591 injections; one Corex bottle; 160 bottles of Codeine and 122 bottles of cough syrup. The huge recover has been made from nakkas and other barriers being laid by the executive police despite other very mandatory assignments.
The district police has become so active that out of 289, not a single case is pending for registration, untraceable, and 89 cases are under investigation, where 200 cases have been challened. The police has become so active and energetic and investigated the entire cases.
Let we talk about the year 2021, where 270 cases of NDPS Act have been registered and 371 accused have been arrested, whereas only 18 cases are under investigation. The police recovered 22 kilograms, 999 grams & 30 milligrams of charas; 2278 kilograms & 230 grams of poppy straw; 55 kilogram, 751 grams & 676 Mg of Heroin; 99 kilograms & 797 grams of Ganja; 16 grams of Brown Sugar; 36702 capsules and tablets; 18 gram and 19 milligrams of Cocaine; 5 grams of Smack; and 990 injections.
