Jammu, Sep 22: Swiftly acting on one complaint the Janipur police has solved the minor rape case and nabbed the rapist from Uttar Pradesh and booked him under POCSO Act.
A complaint was lodged at PS Janipur by one person stating that his minor daughter went missing from her home and in this regard a case FIR No. 42/2022 u/s 363 IPC got registered at PS Janipur and investigation got started.
The police officers have constituted special police teams of PS Janipur under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar. The team led by SHO PS Janipur Inspr Ajaz Haider did hectic efforts and with the help of CDR location of the suspect generated the input regarding the suspect being at UP. Finally special police team of PS Janipur led by PSI Anil Kumar traced the girl and arrested the accused namely Amar S/O Azhar Mian R/O Mohalla sadar, Sahabad Distt. Rampur U.P. from Sahabad U.P.
During further investigation of the case it came to fore that the accused left the girl at Saharanpur railway station from where the girl contacted her family. After which police teams traced the girl from Saharanpur and brought her to Jammu where girl was medically examined at Govt. hospital Sarwal Jammu. Subsequently, an offence u/s 376 IPC, 3/4 POCSO Act has also been added in the instant case.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
