Very unfortunate nexus!
- Some doctors are having the immunity to rotate and swap each other from RS Pura, Gandhi Nagar, Sarwal and Akhnoor hospitals to break the tenure.
- These doctors have established private practices and established the pharma companies by prescribing their products even at the cost of life of patients.

Jammu, Sep 23: Why there are two different yard sticks for the transfers and postings of doctors? Why the department allows some doctors to stay on the same place of postings for 5 to 6 years and then manage their swapping/rotation to break the tenure? How long such practices are going in hospitals like Gandhi Nagar, Sarwal and Akhnoor? Who is behind such corrupt and wrong practices in the transfers and postings of doctors? These are some serious concerns to be deeply viewed by the government and to identify such doctors and pharma companies.
The interference of pharma companies not only limited to transfers and postings of doctors but they manage their long stay on the same placer of postings. There are some doctors posted at Gandhi Nagar, Sarwal and Akhnoor have completed their stay more than 5 years but they are confident that their master pharma companies would manage their swapping/rotation among these three hospitals for another period of 5 or more than 5 years. Three surgeons are enjoying the same immunity as few months back they were rotated within Akhnoor and RS Pura hospital after completing 5 to 6 years.
The pharma companies have showered the blessings some orthopaedic doctors and they are enjoying their stay in Sarwal, Gandhi Nagar and Akhnoor. Now they will be swapped/rotated to break their tenures of stay. They are blue eyed doctors of the pharma companies and enjoying in Jammu city.
Not only this, the newly selected Medical Officers by Public Service Commission with PG specialization degree and now to be posted by department. Among them those who are having PG degrees should be posted as first posting at far flung areas on the vacant post of “specialist” so that those areas should not be deprived of any Specialization. Moreover these are young people with first posting can serve them well. It is learnt that pharma companies also started approaching and alluring these young MOs with promise of posting them nearby to Jammu City so that they can do Private practice in Jammu city too.
The lt Governor must demolish the nexus among the doctors, pharma companies and some officials of the concerned department. Such nexuses are very dangerous for the society as they directly hit the people as the doctors are supposed to prescribe unnecessary medicines, which will directly damage the health of the patient who will go to such doctors.
