Who will check this menace?
- LG must have a surgical strike in the administrative department of Health & Medical education department to flush out the nexus of pharma companies and employees.
- The government must order an enquiry in this nexus and get the detail of call records of the staff for last one year and everything would get clear.

Jammu, Sep 21: Is it true that some of the Pharma companies are managing the transfers of doctors and specialists so that doctors can prescribe his surgical and Pharma products? Who can control such type of allegedly nexus going on in the Health & Medical Education department? Are higher authorities not aware about such nexus operating in the office of Directors Health Services and administrative department of Health & Medical Education secretariat? If such things are going on then who will control this? These are very serious issues for the newly joined secretary of the Health & Medical Education as he has to curb this menace if it is in the department.
In past Pharma companies were giving gifts, spending money on celebrating birthdays of doctors and their family members, providing window & door cloth screens, electrical gazettes, commissions and other things but now some of the influential Pharma companies have made inroad in the office of Directorates of Health & administrative department of Health & Medical Education in secretariat to manage the transfers of doctors. One can say clearly that some of the pharma companies are dictating the terms and condition to the administrative department of H&ME J&K and officers are just to obey them. It is matter of deep concern for the administration that there is allegedly some pharma companies are holding the remote of Health & Medical Education department in the case of transfers of doctors including specialists or their personal benefits.
There is a lobby sitting in the secretariat and there are allegedly reports that the people of the same lobby have contacted some of doctors who wanted their transfers and assured them for the transfer. They have assured some of the transferee doctors that if they (doctors) would agree the conditions of the said pharma companies and they would get choice posting.
Not only in secretariat, the pharma companies have their henchmen in the office of directorate and they easily get the transfer proposal as per their choice. It is pertinent to mention that for the final orders of transfer from the administrative office, the concerned office of directorate sends proposals for the transfer of the doctors. And they (pharma companies) manage transfer proposal as per their choice from the office of concerned Directorate of health to proceed further.
The issue is very clear that the Pharma companies command much domination in the office of Directors of health and also in the office of Secretary, Health & Medical Education. It is high time for Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to have surgical strike to flush out the pharma companies from the office of both directors and administrative office.
The owner of one Pharma company is running such racket and openly approaches doctors claiming that he can get posting of any doctor at his or her place of posting in lieu of prescribing their surgical and pharma products. The clerical staffs is first runner in this nexus and the government must investigate in this nexus by investigating the call records of their respective mobiles for last one year and the cat will be out of bag.
