In July month 213 kanals state land retrieved!
- The Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma has taken the directions of DC Jammu seriously and often seen on mission to retrieve the land.

Jammu, Jul 25: The Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma once again today made a surgical strike on the land grabbers and retrieved 8 kanals of prime land adjoining National Highway Bye Pass, Narwal worth crores of rupees as per the market value, whereas only in the month of July he retrieved 213 kanal state land.
This is not the first time, the Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma has pounced on the land grabbers but only in the month of July he has made three surgical strikes on different dates. On July 12, 2022, he made a surgical strike and retrieved 55 kanals of land worth of several crore rupees and handed over to government; whereas on July 13, he made another surgical striker on the land illegally occupied by some people and he retrieved 150 kanal of land worth crore of rupees; and on today July 25 he engineered a surgical strike and retrieved prime land 8 kanls worth of crore of rupees.
It is pertinent to mention that all the surgical strikes made against the land grabbers under the able guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avni Lavasa and he got success. The office of Deputy Commissioner Jammu has placed strict instructions to all tehsildars but Tehsildar Bahu has taken it as a challenge.
The land retrieved today is a prime State land measuring 08 kanals adjoining National Highway Bye pass, Narwal falling under Vill Thanger, Tehsil Bahu which was under encroachment for last more than 20 years was identified and retrieved by District Administration Jammu.
Said patch of State land is having Commercial location with market value in Crores.
During anti encroachment drive, around 26 structure/ jhuggies were demolished. The said drive was conducted in such a meticulous way that there was no loss of life/property. The Tehsildar Bahu had earlier issued Eviction notices to illegal occupants.
This is consecutive third major Anti encroachment drive in Tehsil Bahu, District Jammu during the month of July and retrieved 213 kanals of state land from the clutches of land grabbers.
