Deserving will get jobs!

Srinagar, Jul 25: Dispelling all the misconceptions floating in the atmosphere of Jammu & Kashmir that there is very less scope of jobs in government departments, the Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta said that the government has sufficient jobs but only deserving candidate will get.
In the present situation there is a misconception among the people that the quantity of government job has been reducing with each passing day and there is very less scope of jobs in the government department. Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Secretary made it clear that there was no dearth of government jobs but such jobs aren’t available in “bazaars” while all dubious appointments will be probed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
“There has been a rumour that government jobs aren’t available. The fact remains that jobs are available in various government departments but they aren’t available in bazaars. Appointments in government departments will be made on the basis of merit,” Mehta categorically said. He was addressing a function in concern of ‘Digitisation Week’ held at SKICC.
The Chief Secretary made it clear that those having merit, would surely get government jobs but wrong people not be preferred. “We will not hesitate to probe dubious appointments made in the past by the CBI,” the J&K Chief Secretary said. He said that in past some appointments were made dubious but all doubted appointments be verified. He said that government is focussing on digitisation of all formats and most of the jobs are being done through online mode and there is very less human interference.
Pertinently, the J&K government recently stated that the selection process for the recruitment of sub inspectors in J&K Police was cancelled and a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation has been recommended.
It is pertinent to mention that the news items regarding rigging and paper leak of written test of JKP SI and FAA published in ‘Jammu Jottings’, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that the government has recommended a CBI probe into the selection process. Taking to social media micro-blogging Twitter, the official Twitter handle of LG Sinha wrote: “JKP Sub-Inspector recruitment has been cancelled & a CBI probe has been recommended into selection process. Culprits will be brought to justice soon. It’s a first big step towards securing future of our youth & government will soon decide future course of action for fresh recruitment.”
The order had come after some aspirants had called the JK Police Recruitment exam a ‘fraud’ and ‘unfair’ following which the J&K administration has announced a time-bound probe by a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, R K Goyal, into the allegations of fraud.
