It should be stopped!

Jammu, Jul 14: Why is not the Geology Mining Department acting against those who are dumping the Minor Minerals illegally in and around the Jammu and Samba? Why is not the Geology Mining Department taking solid measure to stop the illegal mining and dumping of the Minor Minerals? Why not the Geology Mining Department acting on complaints lodged by citizens against illegal mining and dumping? These are some serious concerns which need to be addressed by the Geology Mining Department on war footing.
The illegal mining and dumping of Minor Minerals is going on in full swing in the two districts Jammu & Samba but the department must have a surgical strike on such illegal operators who are wreaking loss to state exchequer and posing threats to the concerned localities.
Several complaints were lodged by the citizens against the illegal mining and dumping but all complaints are waiting action against those people who are involved in this c\scam. One Brinder Singh has lodged four different complaints against the illegal mining and dumping of Minor Minerals. The complaints were made for four different areas including Samba district, Jammu district and Badyal Brahmana. On 08-07-2022, the complainant has lodged the complaints with District Mineral Officer Jammu & Samba and also sent copies of the complaints to the concerned Director, so that action may be accelerated but the action is still in the way.
One Sahil Choudhary also lodged the complaint on 11-07-2022 for illegal mining and dumping but he is also waiting for action. There are several other points where illegal mining is going on. On the banks of Jammu Tawi the illegal mining is going on.
The DMO Jammu & Samba told that he had raided some places in the wee hours near about 3 am, where illegal mining is going on but due to less manpower the illegal operators have fled away but they could not get success to take minor minerals with them. He said that he would take up the issue with SSP Jammu and then get the illegal mining stopped.
