Revenue Department Retrieves State Land Worth Rs. 6.25 Crore in Jammu North

Jammu, June 12: Acting on the directions of the higher authorities, the Revenue Department launched an anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Jammu North at two locations and successfully retrieved State land worth approximately ?6.25 crore.
During the drive, State land measuring 3 kanals and 15 marlas in Village Thather, having an estimated market value of ?4.50 crore, and 1 kanal and 8 marlas in Village Chak Changerwan, valued at around ?1.75 crore, was reclaimed from illegal encroachment.
The operation was carried out by the revenue field staff headed by Naib Tehsildar Mishriwala Mohammad Saleem, accompanied by I/C Police Post Chinore Sahil Sharma, GQ Mishriwala Sunil Verma, Patwari Chak Changerwan Navjot Bakshi, and Patwari Thather Rajinder Kumar, under the supervision of Tehsildar Jammu North Aman Kumar Anand and the immediate supervision of SDM Jammu North Deepak Kumar.
During the eviction drive, illegal boundary walls raised on the encroached land were demolished and State land signboards were installed at the retrieved sites to prevent future encroachments.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to safeguarding government land and stated that the anti-encroachment drive against illegal occupation of State land will continue in the future to ensure strict compliance with government directions.
