DC Rajouri conducts a surprise inspection of Urban Health Unit and Tehsil Office

Rajouri, May 23: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, on Friday conducted a surprise visit to the Urban Health Unit (UHU) at Town Hall Rajouri and also inspected the Tehsil Office to ensure and strengthen the delivery of public services.
A direct outcome of the Deputy Commissioner’s visit to the UHU was the immediate deployment of two intern doctors, Dr. Garima Anugral and Dr. Harsimran Kour, by Dr. Syed Shuja Qadri, HoD of Community Medicine at GMC Rajouri. This move aims to enhance healthcare services and ensure adequate medical support for visiting patients.
During his visit to the Urban Health Training Centre, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a comprehensive review of the facility’s operations and assessed the quality of services being provided to the public.
Expressing concern over punctuality and service standards, he instructed the staff to maintain strict discipline and ensure that patients receive timely and quality healthcare.
Emphasizing the importance of strengthening healthcare at the grassroots level, he stated, “We are here to serve the people. Every official must remember that our prime responsibility is to ensure public welfare through responsive and transparent administration.” Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Tehsil Office in Rajouri to evaluate the functioning of its various sections.
During his interaction with officials, he highlighted the need for dedication, efficiency, and the prompt redressal of public grievances. He urged the staff to adopt a proactive approach and work with sincerity and commitment.
