Police bust ‘Burglar’s Gang’; stolen property worth lakhs recovered

Samba, July 3: Following its commitment to eliminate the crime from samba, the Samba Police has arrested four thieves and solved four theft cases registered with Police Station Ghagwal, whereas recovered stolen items including cash worth Rs 12.5 lakhs approximately.
A per the reports, number of written complaints were lodged with Police Post Rajpura falling under Police Station Ghagwal regarding the house thefts occurring in the jurisdiction of Rajpura area and the burglar remained elusive.
The police engineered a strategy and taking cognizance of four FIRs including FIR No. 76/2024 u/s 454/380 IPC, FIR No.77/2024 u/s 454/380 IPC, FIR no.94/2024 u/s 454/380 IPC, FIR no. 95/2024 u/s 454/380/511/427 IPC got registered at Police Station Ghagwal through PP Rajpura to nab the burglars operating in the locality.
In this concern a team was constituted headed by SHO Police Station Ghagwal Inspector Sikander Singh and Incharge PP Rajpura PSI Sajid Jaral led by DySP Hqrs Samba Bhishm Dubey under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Vinay Sharma was constituted and investigation got started.
Whereas, the police team has raided various places and nabbed many suspects for questioning. Making the best use of the technology, besides using physical and technical aid and after strenuous efforts, Police apprehended persons namely Rohit Chouhan @ Labbu S/o Anchal Singh R/o Chack Haria tehsil Marheen Distt Kathua; Sahil Kumar S/o Janak Raj R/o Chack Wazir Chand Tehsil Marheen Distt Kathua; and Akash Kumar S/o Khem Raj R/o Chack Haria Tehsil Marheen Distt Kathua.
After their arrests the case has become clear and arrestees disclosed the name of another person namely Neeraj Luthra S/o Maharaj Krishan R/o W.No.04 Kathua who was the receiver of the stolen property. He was also apprehended and later he confessed that he had received the stolen property from above three accused.
It is the one of the biggest success of the Samba police as it recovered stolen property including 16 tolas of gold, 40 tolas of silver ornaments and cash amounting Rs 81,500. Whereas, further investigation of the case is going on to nab more associates.
