- There should be a depth enquiry in this scam and the officers of SDD must be identified and booked under law, besides kicked out from service.
- The Lt Governor must intervene in this episode and put the things on right track otherwise it will be considered a well knit conspiracy against the youth of Jammu.

Jammu, Oct 11: Who is responsible for failure of Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) an establishment of worth Rs 180 crore? Why have not the scoundrels of this one of the biggest scams till arrested and kicked out from the department? Who is shielding the scoundrels working inside the Skill Development Department and inflicted the failure of CIIIT? Why is the concerned commissioner/secretary silent over this one of biggest scam and failure of the department? These are very crucial points to be taken seriously by the government as our Prime Minister Mr Narender Modi is very curious and worried about the Skill Development of the youth.
It is pertinent mention that on April 12, 2021 the Lt Governor of jammu & Kashmir has inaugurated Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) at Government Polytechnic Jammu with a new hope of technology learning but it is unfortunate that the said institute is fully sheltered by Skill Development Department reasons best known to them. The sitting principal remained very callous to it otherwise it could have not been so much shattered as it is now.
Jammu and Kashmir Government in collaboration with TATA Technologies Ltd. has established State of the Art Technology Center investing 180 Cores for Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Jammu at Government Polytechnic College Jammu for providing skill enhancement training to students of Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics, Engineering Graduates, Industry Professionals and Faculties of Technical Institutes of the UT of J&K in modern Engineering Tools necessary for Product Design, Development and Manufacturing and as such providing them access to gain insights into Industry 4.0 and other Disruptive Technologies. The CIIIT Jammu was inaugurated in April 2021 with the objective of providing skill ecosystem to students to get training in latest technologies as per need of industry 4.0 in 09 competency centers established at Govt. Polytechnic Jammu offering three-month training in 18 latest technology skill courses like electric vehicles, Mechatronics, IOT, CNC machines, robotics, value engineering, product design etc. This center was a platform for skill training and to promote the invention, incubation and innovation with the objective to provide outcome based training for enhancing the employment of students of J&K. The online admission for training in CIIIT Jammu was started in Feb 2021 in which more than 500 students applied on CIIIT Jammu admission portal. But the training of most of the students was not started last year and students who paid the online fee started to approach the college for refund and Principal wrote to higher authorities without taking any decision on her own and even not bothering to start the training of students. As per data, till date only 25 students had undergone 3-month training in the center who took admission in March 2021 while one-month training was provided to most of the students of govt polytechnic Jammu and other colleges by charging Rs 3000 from them as mandatory who are still studying in the college. No Applications are invited through online Admission portal www.CIIITjammu.in for the training in the area of interest for the courses because the Admission Portal since April 2021 as the portal is showing latest notification of 2020-21 year. The admission portal is not working at present which is main reason for poor admission. One can check at his own by logging into the portal. The college signed many MOUs with engineering colleges like IIT Jammu, SMVDU, MIET, GCET etc but the students from this institute only visit the CIIIT but had not enrolled in any course for 3-month training. Students from IIT Jammu only visited the CIIIT.
Moreover, the college authorities have submitted the wrong data to higher authorities about their training and false admission data is submitted to higher authorities’ time and again as per sources which need to be verified. Many students after one-month training are provided with wrong certificates. Due to zero admission at present in CIIIT Jammu the faculty from Tata is sitting idle. Most of high cost machinery and equipment are not working in CIIIT Jammu at present due to no maintenance from the college and as machines remain shut most of the time. The machinery and equipment installed and staff from Tata is idle at present due to no students. Due to poor attitude of college authorities many senior staff from Tata has left this center. There are no positive efforts from the college authorities, no advertisement, linkage with other colleges and industries. No raw material and basic facilities like stationery etc is provided to faculty of tata. No washroom facilities are there in CIIIT Jammu for students and staff and students are suffering. The internet remains most of the time shut down due to non-payment of bill, which discourage the students who come to CIIIT.
The principal removed HOD Mechanical as who was doing all the activities awareness, admission, MOu’s, etc of CIIIT Jammu , made a new incharge from Architecture Department with new team and now after the CIIIT become flop she again appointed him as incharge of CIIIT Jammu which shall serve no purpose. The training were to be provided to students by the Industry Professionals and subject matter experts from TATA Technologies Ltd but due to non-availability of students they are sitting idle due to zero candidates in CIIIT Jammu for last many months. Till date no placement is provided to the students. One big aspect of this flop show of CIIIT Jammu is placement factor after trainings that is also zero as no one after getting training from CIIIT had been placed due to poor vision of Principal as not even a single job fair is organised from last year inspite of fact many industries approach the college for placement of students but she shows no interest. As she is simply a B. Tech holder in mechanical from Pondicherry and not a master. She had a track of not organizing any job fairs or activities in her previous postings all in Jammu from last 30 years. Due to poor administration of college which has full backing of Director Skill Development Department, J&K for reason better known to him, has turned this CIIIT into big flop show as now no one is taking training in this state of the art center where crores of rupees had been invested by JKUT government and Tata.
