Jammu, Oct 07: The Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu Mr Chandan Kohli is one of the dedicated and energetic police officers who remains ready to take any sort of challenge to serve the society and remained committed to zero tolerance to crime and drug-peddling.
The drug-peddling in Jammu district was once uncontrolled and everyone in the Jammu was worried over it. The youth was much involved in the usage of drugs especially ‘Chita’, which is very costly. The parents and guardians of the youth were in chaos that what to do and what not to do. The drug-peddlers in Jammu once became so powerful that every system appeared weak before them.
In this situation, Mr Chandan Kohli IPS took the charge of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu and he was surprised to see that drug-peddlers have become a power in Jammu and instrumental in involving teenagers as the consumers of drugs.
It is pertinent to mention that mer Chandan Kohli without wasting the time has convened the meeting to bridle this uncontrolled use of drugs by the teenagers. He directed all the SHOs and SDPOs spread awareness against the drug-peddling. He immediate directed to imprint the mobile numbers of the SSP office and related officers on the walls in general and especially on the walls of every school, so that if any person has information in this context may be passed on without disclosing the identity.
Such type of devise has worked and the drug-peddlers operating in Jammu got much discouraged. He also directed the all SHOs that there should be not any sort of compromise over this issue. He personally monitored the performance of each Police Station and upgraded the work culture of Police Station.
The people of Jammu are much happy with the performance of SSP Chandan Kohli. Moreover the people of Rajouri recall his services as SSP Rajouri and appreciate him.
