Govt declares August 5 as ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’

Jammu, Aug 11: In an attempt to eradicate the corruption from the soil of Jammu & Kashmir, the UT administration under the wise administration of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has declared the August 5 as ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’ vide Government Order No 925-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 11-08-2022, and every employee will take pledge against corruption on this day every year.
The UT administration under the wise advice of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has issued an order that 5th of August every year shall be celebrated as ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’ in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The order further said that the occasion shall be marked with pledge taking ceremonies in all public offices wherein all employees shall take oath for eradicating corruption from public life and offices. Whereas, on the occasion, employees who have made remarkable contributions in eradication of corruption for the preceding years shall be felicitated and awarded.
Not only this, the order further said that week following 5th of August, every year shall be celebrated as ‘Vigilance awareness Week’ and in week the seminars and workshops would be conducted on the initiatives under taken by various offices/officers/institutions with regards to eradicating corruption and increasing public accountability and service delivery, besides promotion of activities related to digital governance and reduction of human interference in delivery of public service, The IEC activities on increasing accountability and transparency in public office shall also be conducted at all district/HoD/administrative offices during the celebrations.
The order was issued by General Administrative Department, signed by the Principal Secretary to Government Manoj Kumar Dwivedi IAS and it would be best order to eradicate the corruption and the common people get solace.
The J&K unit of Akhil Bhartiya Bharshtachar Nirmulan Sangarsh Samiit (ABBNSS) has welcome the order and termed the order as the best instrument to eradicate the corruption. It further asked the state administration that ABBNSS would provide all help to conduct seminars and pledge taking ceremonies. The ABBNSS is a national level organisation and working under the leadership of a firebrand leader Pardip Patil Khandpurkar in the entire country to eradicate the corruption and has achieved many targets.
