Big fraud in JKPSI Exam!
- The prominent accused included Medical Officer BSF Frontier Hqs, then members JKSSB, then Under Secretary, officials of CRPF & Police, Bengaluru based private company.
- The CBI conducts searches more than 30 locations in Jammu, Srinagar and other parts.
- The CBI has seized mobiles, laptop, computers, bank pass books, other exam related documents but the huge material has been seized from the house of Dr Kairnail Singh.
- It is the first attempt but there are reports that within a week the CBI will conduct more searches, whereas the FIR will be registered against more persons which have been left today but they are fully involved.

Jammu, Aug 05: After taking over the infamous Jammu & Kashmir Police Sub Inspector recruitment scam and fraud, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has pounced on the allegedly scammers and searched their houses, who were involved in leaking of the exam paper and selling to the innocent aspirants who sold their land and other properties to buy the paper.
The CBI, in first instant, has registered a criminal case against 33 persons in established irregularities in the examination of J&K police sub-inspector conducted by JKSSB. The irregularities and fraud has been established by the Enquiry Committee constituted by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir on the directions of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. The Enquiry Committee has worked under the chairmanship of RK Goyal IAS who has been known for his honesty and integrity.
It is pertinent to mention that the CBI has registered a case on the request of J&K Government against 33 accused including then Medical Officer BSF Frontier headquarters, Paloura, then Member JKSSB, then Under Secretary, then Section Officer (both of JKSSB), ex official of CRPF, ASI of J&K Police, owner of a coaching centre, Akhnoor, private company based at Bengaluru, private persons and unknown others.
The case has been registered following the huge and mass level allegations of irregularities in written test of JKP SI conducted by JKSSB on March 27 this year and the results were declared on June 04, whereas the JKSSB has outsourced the written test process to an infamous agency which has bad name already.
Conspicuously, there were severe allegations regarding malpractices in the said written test, while aspirants and others had demanded a detailed inquiry into the alleged misconduct on the part of JKSSB.
After getting the report from the Enquiry Committee in which it was revealed that massive irregularities have been done, the government cancelled the sub-inspectors’ recruitment examination conducted for 1200 posts in the Jammu and Kashmir police.
When the government found the several and huge irregularities and there was a big question that which people were responsible for the mess and then government ordered an investigation into the rigging and the case was handed over to the CBI.
It was alleged that the accused entered into conspiracy amongst officials of JKSSB, Bengaluru based private company, beneficiary candidates & others, and caused gross irregularities in conducting the written examination for the posts of Sis,
It was further alleged that there was abnormally high percentage of selected candidates from Jammu, Rajouri and Samba districts. Violation of rules by JKSSB was allegedly found in assigning the task of setting the question paper to a Bengaluru based private company.

It further reads that searches were conducted today at 30 locations including at Jammu, Srinagar, Bengaluru etc. at the premises of accused, while investigation is going on.
