Contractor Association constitute Core Group for their welfare

Rajouri, Dec 15: With an aim to discuss the problems being faced while executing works, delay in the payments & other related issues, an emergency meeting of Contractors Association Rajouri was organised on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by Mohammed Shafi Malik at Dak Bungalow and was attended by the members of the association.
A threadbare discussion on the issues/problems being faced by the government contractors while executing the works and unwanted delay in the payments were held in the meeting.
The Contractor Association also constituted a five-member core group and 12 members Executive Body for the welfare of the Contractor fraternity.
Five members of the core group include Manzoor Malik, Mohd Shafi Malik, Ashwani Koucher, Shakeel Ahmed Mir, and Maqbool Bhat.
Ashfaq Magray, Shafqat Wani, Sahil Bhat, Ashfaq Mirza, Umar(Bittu), Bashir Kohli, Wasim Choudhary, Aijaz Ahmed, Javed Ahmed, Saddam Bhat, Naeem Bhat, and Umer Mirza were nominated as members of the Executive Body.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Shafi Malik warned the Superintendending Engineer and Executive Engineer Rajouri to call/invite tenders for any work only when the funds and technical sanction for the same are available.
He warned for a strong reaction from the Contractor Association if this procedure was not followed by the concerned officials.
