Rajouri Nov 1: A man from Gagrian village in Poonch district, who had inadvertently crossed over to Pakistan Occupied J&K (PoJK) reportedly about three years ago, was on Monday handed over to Indian authorities at the cross LoC point at Chakan-Da-Bagh .
The Poonch police have confirmed the repatriation of the man and said: “The Pakistan authorities have handed over one Said Din, who inadvertently had crossed the LoC in 2018 has been handed over to the authorities. He will be taken to the Police station at Poonch and then will be handed over to the family.”
In the month of January, Pakistan authorities had repatriates a woman, namely Zareena Bi (36) resident of Chela Dhangri (in Mandi Tehsil) after about four months of her crossing of LoC inadvertently.
Saif Din s/o Ghulam Mohammed was handed over by the Pakistan army to Indian counterparts in the presence of Naib Tehsildar (Magistrate) deputed by the authorities for the task.
According to reports Said Din is said to be mentally unstable.
