In Rajouri violators of Covid SOPs were fined Rs 56020 during 2 days

Rajouri, Oct 5: During the last forty-eight hours two government schools have been closed in Poonch district after 42 students, including 35 girl students, today were tested Covid-19 positive.
Thirty-five students of government girls higher secondary school at Mandi, in Poonch district were tested positive on Tuesday.
All the 35 students were tested positive during a camp held by the Department of Health, informed Shahzad Latief Khan Tehsildar, Mandi.
Pertinent to mention that the school was opened only last week and at that time all these 35 students were tested negative after their Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were conducted.
After Principal’s report, Abdul Majid, Chief Education Officer, Poonch in an order issued on Tuesday has closed the school for five days (till October 10) as a precautionary measures and has directed the Principal to sanitized the school building, including classrooms, laboratories, office, with the help of Block medical Officer.
“The Covid positive students should be in home isolation as per the Covid-19 protocol and their parents should be informed accordingly. All the staff members and other students are also advised to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour strictly and get themselves tested” the order read.
All the Principals/ZEOs/Headmasters have been advised by the CEO to ensure the adherence of Covid-19 SOPs/guidelines in respect of institutions falling under their control.
On Monday, the CEO had closed the higher secondary school at Lassana in Surankot after 7 students were found Covid-q19 positive after RAT testing.
Meanwhile, in Rajouri district the Principal of higher secondary school Behrote in Thanamandi tehsil has closed the school for three days (till October 7) after a staff member was tested positive.
The Principal has directed the staff members to follow CAB and get them tested for coronavirus infection.
On Tuesday six persons were tested positive in Rajouri district and all have been advised for home isolation.
At present, there are 28 Covid-19 active cases in the district out of which two are under treatment in GMC at Rajouri.
As many as 16857 persons of 18-44 years age group were given first (11132) and the second (5725) doses across the district.
The Enforcement team constituted to implement Covid protocol have collected fines worth Rs 56020 during the last two days from the violators of Covid-19 SOPs.
