By exploiting his official position, Khan compromised police operations, leading to his permanent removal from the force.
The investigation revealed that the SPO was using WhatsApp to maintain contact with a suspect wanted under FIR Number 124/2026 at Police Station Udhampur.
Khan’s primary role in the illicit network was to share real-time information regarding the locations of police naka checkpoints.
This intelligence allowed the smuggling accused to navigate safe routes, effectively evading law enforcement during routine and specific checks.
The evidence against him was conclusive, consisting of recovered digital chat logs and corroborating statements gathered during the probe.
District Police Udhampur characterized Khan’s actions as a grave act of indiscipline and a blatant misuse of his official authority.
