130 Kanals State & Custodian Land Worth Crores Retrieved in Bishnah

Jammu, Nov 21: In a decisive action against land encroachment, the District Administration Jammu today retrieved 130 kanals of state and custodian land valued in crores at village Sikanderpur, Tehsil Bishnah.
The anti-encroachment and demolition drive was launched on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, in close coordination with SSP Jammu, Sh. Joginder Singh.
The retrieved land, falling under Khasra Nos. 308, 389 and 2206, had been illegally occupied, with unauthorized structures raised by land encroachers, including individuals booked under the NDPS Act. The administration has issued a strong warning to encroachers, reiterating that strict action will be taken against any illegal occupation of government land. The land reclaimed during the drive will be handed over to the concerned department, while a portion is proposed to be earmarked for Niabat, Patwar Halqa and a Police Chowki. The operation was carried out under the overall supervision of SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa, and Superintendent of Police Headquarters Jammu, Irshad Rather, in the presence of Tehsildar Bishnah, Ankush Tripathi; SDPO R.S. Pura, Gurmeet Singh; Rakesh Jamwal; SHO Bishnah, and teams from the Revenue and Police Departments.
