Absconder Wanted Since 2015 Arrested by Rajouri Police at IGI Airport

Rajouri, October 6: In a breakthrough, the Police Post Khawas under Budhal Police Station, in Koteranka subdivision of Rajouri district, arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past ten years. The accused, Layaqat Ali, son of Ghulam Mohd, the resident of Gundha (tehsil Khawas), was apprehended by a team of Khawas Police Post from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi, following a Look Out Circular (LOC) request. An LOC is issued to trace or detain wanted individuals and ensure their handover to the concerned law enforcement agency. Layaqat Ali was booked in FIR No. 72/2015 at Budhal Police Station under sections 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt), 452 (House-trespass after preparation for hurt), 336 (Act endangering life), 323 (Voluntarily causing hurt), and 147 (Rioting) of the IPC.
As the accused had been absconding since 2015 to evade arrest, a warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued by the Hon’ble Court Budhal.
After his arrest, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court Budhal for further legal proceedings.
