Poonch, April 10: In a concerted effort to enhance healthcare delivery across the district, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Khan, undertook an extensive inspection tour of multiple health institutions on Thursday. The visit was aimed at evaluating infrastructural efficacy, ensuring staff punctuality, and reinforcing a culture of professional accountability within the medical fraternity.
Dr Khan’s itinerary encompassed several pivotal health centres, including the Government Primary Health Centre Chandimarh, AAM Salyan, Sub Centre Dharamohra, Community Health Centre (CHC) Surankote, and the Government Primary Health Centre AAM Chandak.
With the auspicious festival of Baisakhi on the horizon, the CMO also visited the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) at Nagali Sahib to assess medical preparedness for the anticipated influx of pilgrims at Dehra Nagali Sahib. During his visits, Dr Khan engaged meaningfully with healthcare personnel and members of the local populace, underscoring the imperative of delivering prompt, compassionate, and efficient medical services.
In his address, Dr Khan accentuated the necessity for unwavering commitment to duty hours and urged staff to remain particularly vigilant throughout the festive period, ensuring seamless public health support. The overarching objective of the inspection was to bolster transparency and accountability in the health sector, while reaffirming the administration’s commitment to equitable and quality healthcare for rural and semi-urban communities.
