Joginder to quell crime!

Jammu, Oct 07: In a significant achievement for law enforcement, the Jammu Police have successfully solved two separate murder cases, leading to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the victims’ bodies. Senior Superintendent of Police, Joginder Singh, KPS, announced these breakthroughs during a press conference, highlighting the diligent efforts of the police teams involved.
In the murder case of Neha, Mr Singh revealed that on October 4, 2024, at approximately 7:30 AM, Police Station RS Pura received credible information about an unknown female body discovered in the fields of Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Badyal Brahmana. The victim was determined to have been murdered by unknown assailants.
In response, an FIR (No. 216/2024) was registered under Section 103 of the BNS Act. A dedicated police team, led by Inspector Naveen Angral, the SHO of RS Pura, and under the supervision of the SDPO RS Pura, began a thorough investigation.
On October 6, the team arrested Parkash Paswan, also known as Santosh, from Khanauri in Sangrur, Punjab, with the assistance of local police and technical resources. Upon interrogation, Paswan confessed to the murder of his wife, Neha. He explained that they had been living in Badyal Brahmana for three months after marrying in Sonipat.
The couple had an altercation on October 3, leading them to seek refuge in a cattle shed owned by Ramesh Chander. In a fit of rage, Paswan attacked Neha with a brick and subsequently strangled her with her dupatta before disposing of her body in a nearby paddy field.
In the second case of disappearance of Sandeep Singh, SSP Jammu said that in another chilling case, the Jammu Police actively solved the murder of Sandeep Singh, who was reported missing after last being seen on September 29, 2024. His disappearance prompted a thorough investigation by the Police Post Chowk Chabutra.
Police discovered that Sandeep had been kidnapped and murdered by Pardeep Singh, who lured him to Reasi under the false pretense of repaying a debt of ?1,30,000. Tragically, on September 27, Pardeep pushed Sandeep into the Chenab River at Talwara, resulting in his untimely death.
Following Pardeep’s confession, authorities recovered Sandeep’s body from the river. Further investigation revealed a conspiracy involving Rajinder Singh, who owed Sandeep ?25,000. Both Pardeep and Rajinder have been arrested, and a case (FIR No. 117/2024) has been registered under the relevant sections of the law.
Community Response: The swift action taken by Jammu Police in both cases has been met with widespread appreciation from the community. These developments underscore the department’s commitment to justice and public safety, reinforcing trust in law enforcement.
