Army provides sports equipment to HS students in border village Sehar

Rajouri, March 15: As part of Operation Sadbhavna, Indian Army organised an outreach program at government high school Sehar-situated along Anti-Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS- smart fencing along LoC)- in Nowshera subdivision of Rajouri district and distributed sports equipment to students.
Besides students, staff members, the event was also joined by local political & social activists/leaders, VDC members & former Sarpanch of Sehar Panchayat.
Participants got the opportunity to engage in various sports activities.
By providing necessary resources the Army equipped the youth with the sports items and encouragement to pursue their passion and achieve excellence in their endeavours.
Cricket equipment including bats, balls, wickets, shin guards and helmets were also distributed to the school on the occasion.
Prominent who attended the program wholeheartedly thanked the Indian Army for this endeavour.
“With the aim of providing basic facilities to the people and school students living in the border areas, the Indian Army from time to time provides sports facilities to the school students studying in the border areas,” said the locals.
“Sports material is distributed so that the students remain ahead in sports competitions along with studies and can bring out the hidden talent within them’” said the Army.
“On behalf of all the villagers, we thank the Indian army who organizes such programs from time to time, which boosts the morale of the local people and school students” said school Head.
