5 grams heroin recovered, 3 peddlers arrested

Akhnoor, Sept 29: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 05 grams of heroin from three accused persons in the jurisdiction of PS Akhnoor.
A police team of PS Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq while on naka duty at Chandian near Old bridge Akhnoor rounded up three suspects coming from Old Bridge Akhnoor in a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02DF- 6636. On search, 05 grams of heroin was recovered from them.
In this regard a case FIR No.266/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act got registered in PS Akhnoor and accused were arrested. The accused arrested were identified as :- Ghar Singh @ Gharu S/o Rattan Singh R/o Rajan Thathi (Driver Car), Abhinash Kumar @Kana S/O Vikram Singh R/O Ward No. 8 Rama Colony Akhnoor, Ankush Sharma S/O Kulbushan Sharma R/O Pacca Danga Akhnoor
Further investigation of the cases is going on.
