Jammu, July 28: Today police party of P/S Akhnoor headed by SHO P/s Akhnoor Insp Zaheer Mushtaq assisted by Incharge PP Chowki Choura Psi Pankaj katoch under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma intercepted one Dumper bearing registeration No. JK02CT-6827 which was coming from Jammu towards Rajouri when signaled to stop the vehicle the unknown driver of truck tried to escape from the spot but the alert naka party along with QRT chased and caught the vehicle, During checking of the vehicle total 08 bovine animals found loaded mercilessly in cruel manner without fodder and water in above said vehicle. The said vehicle seized and the Bovine animals rescued by the Police party.
In another incident Police party of P/S Akhnoor intercepted one Auto load carrier bearing registeration No. JK02DE-3764 at khugga Naka. During questioning the driver disclosed his name as Pavneet Singh S/o Narinder Singh R/O Chatta Jammu and the person sitting alongside him disclosed his name as Amandeep Singh S/o Balbinder Singh R/O Simbal Camp Jammu. During checking of the vehicle found 04 bovine animals loaded mercilessly in cruel manner without fodder and water in above said vehicle. The said vehicle seized, Bovine animals rescued and accused persons arrested on the spot. In this regard a case FIR No. 218/2023 and 219/2023 U/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered. Further investigation of the cases are going on.
