Jammu, Jul 03: Acting tough on the officers of Forest department who ordered transfers and posting of some officials after April 30, 2023, the Principal Secretary to Government m Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment J&K Dheeraj Gupta IAS has asked the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, J&K to seek reasons for issuance of transfer orders.
The Principal Secretary to Government m Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment J&K Dheeraj Gupta IAS has taken the matter seriously as there were some illegal felling at different places especially in Kalidhar range and in that connection the transfers of the department prohibited.
The office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has asked the APCCF/Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu and APCCF/Chief Conservator of Forests Kashmir vide its office letter No PCCF/NG/Estt/1463-64 dated 03-07-2023 and directed them to review all the transfer orders issued after April 30, 2023 except those issued against the retirement vacancies, or involving officials who returned from trainings need to be cancelled and the officials will report back to their original positions. But all these retention were subject to produce valid justification with every individual official.
It is pertinent to mention that there should be explanation of all those officers who issued such orders in violation of the government directions be submitted with remarks of regional APCCFs. The letter clearly indicated the issue is very serious and no one would be spared if found guilty at any part.
Not only this, in the letter it has clearly mentioned that in case the where shifting/transfers of official was inevitable and it was in the interest of government work then too the approval of government should be sought otherwise in the absence of proper approval from the government the officer/officers have to face consequences.
