Jammu, Feb 02: The police of Police Station Miran Sahib today achieved success in arresting one absconder who was absconding his arrest for last 9 years and apprehended another person during frisking by a nakka party.
An information was received at PS Miran Sahib regarding one absconder namely Sheetal Singh S/o Darshan Singh R/o Rattian Teh Rs Pura who was involved in Case FIR No. 52/2014 U/s 309/324 RPC and was absconding since 09 years in the above said case.
On this special teams of PS Miran Sahib under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up the above said person.
Accused was finally produced before the Additional Special Mobile Magistrate RS Pura, court and shall be held in judicial custody till further hearing.
Police Party of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh established a special naka at Kotli Mian Fateh Miran Sahib for checking. During checking one pedestrian coming from Kotli Mian Fateh towards Miran Sahib stopped for checking/frisking on suspicious grounds. To evade checking/frisking the said person tried to flee from the Naka, but the alert police team apprehended him. During questioning he disclosed his name as Rakesh Kumar S/O Yashpaul R/O Langotian Miran Sahib Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
During his search one sharp edged weapon i.e one toka was recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No 30/2023 U/S 4/25 Arms Act stands registered, further investigation started.
