Junior Staff Nurse of GMC&AH Rajouri killed in road mishap

Rajouri, May 27: In a tragic road mishap, a Junior Staff Nurse was killed in a car accident while on her way from Jammu to join her duties at Rajouri after two days leave.
The ill-fated car skidded off the road and fell in the deep gorge near Chingus village on the Jammu-Poonch highway in the Rajouri district of J&K on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as the Saima Malik daughter of Manzzor Malik, a resident of Chandak in Poonch district and presently residing in Jammu city.
Presently, she was posted as a Junior Staff Nurse at Government Medical College & Associated hospital (GMC&AH) at Rajouri.
According to Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent, GMC&AH, Saima had proceeded to Jammu on two days leave to collect some documents.
“AT about 6.30 pm on Friday when was on her way back to Rajouri to join her duties, her car skidded off the road and fell in the deep gorge resulting in fatal injuries to her and was declared brought dead in GMC&AH,” said Dr. Mehmood.
On intimation, her brother and two cousins have reached at Rajouri and the body will be handed over to them after medico-legal formalities by the police and will be taken to her native village in Poonch.
