It can only happen in Rajouri!
- The land is irrigated as per the revenue record and even Tehsildar told that the title of land in question is Abal Baryal and the revenue record also substantiate his statement and clarifies that the land is irrigated.
- The EO, Rajouri Municipal told that no permission has been granted to anyone to raise the commercial complex on the said land.

Jammu, Mar 22: How can a person install petrol pump on the irrigated land that too without changing the nature of land? How can a person start installation of petrol pump without seeking mandatory NOCs from the concern departments? How can a person build any sort of commercial building without seeking permission from concerned Municipal Committee? Why person in hurry to initiate the construction work without seeking proper permission from the concerned departments? Why is not the district administration foiling the attempt of the person to install the petrol pump without having genuine permission including all NOC? These are some of sharp and relevant concerns to be seriously taken by the district administration and they must make credible reply to such queries irritating in the mind of people.
The case of illegal installing of Petrol has come up in Ward No 6, Thudi, Jawahar Nagar, near Grid Station Rajouri that a family has started the work to install Petrol Pump within the limits of Rajouri municipal and the said family has not sought permission from the Municipal committee. The nature of land is also not permissible for installation of Petrol Pump as it is irrigated land as per the revenue record.
The land selected for installation of Petrol Pump is measuring 22 marlas owned by Nirmal Devi wife of Late Ved Parkash Ohja resident of Ward No 6, Thudi, Jawahar Nagar, near Grid Station Rajouri and it falls in four Khasras 34 Min, 35 Min, 35/1 Min and 36 Min as per the revenue record. The land is situated in the residential area too, which is not permissible for installation of Petrol Pump keeping in view the safety of the locality. The house of Nirmal Devi shares its entrance with the proposed Petrol Pump, which is itself a mockery.
The person behind the installation of this illegal Petrol Pump is trying to suppress all the mandatory criteria, which are laid for the safety of the locality, but he hardly bothers about the rules and regulations. There are some reports that man who is behind the installation of illegal Petrol Pump has some connection with officer of district administration.
Now, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri has to play his role effectively in this delicate and serious issue as it is related to the safety of the entire locality. No doubt, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal is very capable person and would allow anyone to suppress the law of land and in this concern his office has issued a meeting notice vide his office No DCR/2021-22/GS/1897 dated 19-03-2022 to discuss the pending files regarding NOC for installation of New Retail Outlet (Petrol Pump). The report further said that this meeting notice was issued to immediate expedite the files in this concern. Now it is the turn of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to intervene in this issue and if it is not conformity with the criteria laid down to install the Petrol Pump then it should be foiled immediately.
