ETs recovered Rs 27,850 fines from violators

Rajouri, Nov 16: A woman has died due to Covid-19 at Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC&AH) at Rajouri after the last death was reported on September 20 thus taking the death toll to 238 in the district.
The woman (50) died was resident of Thandikassi village and was admitted in the GMC&AH in the third week of October thus taking the death toll due to Covid-19 in the district to 238 of which 183 have died during the second wave.
Two positive cases of a novel Coronavirus have been reported in the Rajouri district out of 2269 reports received on Wednesday.
There are now 11 active cases in the district at present while two patients also recovered today.
Out of eleven active Covid cases, no patient is under treatment in GMC&AH at Rajouri, one is getting treatment in the Army /BSF hospital, nine are in home isolation, and one is in CCC.
As per the daily bulletin issued on Wednesday as many as 3534 people above 18 years of age were administered first (56) and second (3478) Covid vaccine doses across the district, thus bringing the cumulative number of doses administered in the district to 8,23,680.
During the first & second waves 6,26,410 tests, including RAT (4,73,930)and RT-PCR (1,52,480) have been conducted till Wednesday in the district among them,11295 were tested positive out of which 11046 have recovered while 2 died including 183 during the second wave.
As per the media bulletin during the second wave of Covid pandemic, 4, 54,484 people have been tested for Covid-virus infection to date, out of which 7422 were declared positive.
Enforcement Teams (ETs) fined scores of violators of Covid-19 SOPs on Wednesday have recovered a fine of Rs 27,850 taking the total amount fined since April 1 to Rs 63,46,754.
The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.
The Health Department has collected 2269 samples on Tuesday of which two covid patients were detected.
