Rajouri, Nov 8: Chairman J&K Human Development Foundation-JKHDF (Regd) Sayeed Mughal met Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS) CEO, J&K Youth Mission, and Secretary Tribal Affairs J&K & appraised him about the issues of the youth including unemployment.
Sayeed also raised the issue of permanent jobs for Need Base Workers (NBWs) working with Jal Shakti Department in Rajouri district.
Mughal said that about 707 Need Based Workers (NBWs) engaged across different points of time in the Jal Shakti Department are currently running from pillar to post for justice but no one is paying heed to their problems.
Mughal appraised Dr. Shahid Choudhary that on different occasions, authorities had engaged Need Based Workers at a consolidated wage of Rs 6700 per month, and many among them were regularized over a period of time.
He added NBWs were getting their wages through online mode after proper verification of their identities, but salaries in case of many started getting stopped at different points over the past few years.
Currently, about 707 NBWs in Rajouri district are uncertain about their future as no higher authority listening to their grievances.

“Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS) has assured to take up the matter with the Chief Secretary J&K and Secretary, Jal Shakti Department to resolve the issue at the earliest,” said Sayeed Mughal.
