BSF foils bid to smuggle weapons, seizes arms & ammo at Samba border

Jammu, Oct 7: Days after recovering a cache of arms and ammunition, BSF yet again foiled an attempt at weapon smuggling along international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.
BSF spokesman said that the troops on Thursday morning foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons from across the International Border in Samba area and seized a cache of arms and ammunition.
“The recovery included four pistols, eight pistol magazines and 232 rounds,” said the spokesman.
Last week, BSF had recovered arms and ammunition in Akhnoor sector while Jammu Police also seized one AK- 47 and magazines airdropped by drone in Phallian Mandal area in the city outskirts. UNI
