‘33 FIRs, 36 ARRESTED UNDER “EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH”’
*Mr Shailender Singh SSP Reasi has done yeomen service to the society as he trying his best to eradicate the fuddle from Reasi.
*It is a lesson for other police officers that they must follow the trend of eradication of drugs.
Jammu, May 20:
District Police Reasi conducted major strike on illicit liquor mafia including manufactures and smugglers, besides arrested 36 bootleggers, destroyed 6000 litres of Lahan and seized more than 150 litres of Hooch in last 36 hours, 33 new case FIR’s are registered in six police stations of district Reasi. This raw liquor had the potential of preparing 2000 litres of hooch.
Teams of Police Station Arnas conducted series of raids in Arnas area in which 16 bootleggers got arrested, for which FIR No 33 to 48/2021 registered under Excise Act against the criminals. Accused arrested are Krishan Singh son of Dharam Singh resident of Thanole, Updesh Singh son of Bikru resident of Arnas, Kuldeep Singh son of Ram Saran resident of Chakalwala Thanool, Sukhdev Singh son of Suba Ram resident of Lada Thanool, Seta Ram son of Sarwan resident of Sawla Kote, Romesh Chand son of Prem Chand resident of Kanthi Arnas, Prem Singh son of Moti Ram resident of Matlote, Geta Devi daughter of Basant Ram resident of Kanthan Arnas, Suneeta Devi wife of Kaku Ram resident of Kanthan Arnas, Angrez Singh son of Punjab Singh resident of Kanthan Arnas, Jagdish Singh son of Beer Singh resident of Duga Arnas, Baldev Singh son of Sarwan Mal resident of Jij Kaseeri, Mopha Ram son of Napha resident of Dhanour Arnas.
In Sub-Division Reasi, series of raids were conducted in Salal, Bhomag, Dera Baba, Talwara, Pouni and Bhambla area and arrested 16 bootleggers with illicit liquor in which FIR No 102 to 111/2021 under 48(a)(e) Excise Act are registered in Police Station Reasi.
Accused Charan Singh son of Baldev, Gulvinder Singh son of Baldev Singh, Surjeet Singh son of Gulvinder Singh resident of Bhabber Brahmna, Tirlok Chand son of Ram Saran resident of Tanda Reasi, Chutki son of Hans Raj resident of Bhabber, Khreb Singh son of Sansar Chand resident of Surjan Dhar, Puran Singh son of Rocky Ram resident of Prankot Tehsil Thakra Kote A/P Migrant colony camp Talwara, Lal Singh son of Dhram Singh Rajpout resident of Kanthi Pallad Tehsil Thooru A/P Migrant colony camp Talwara, Raj Kumar son of Sansar Chand resident of Surjan Dhar Tehsil Bhomag, Jagdish Singh son of Sansar Chand resident of Surjan Dhar Tehsil Bhamag. Kuldeep singh son of Gulab Singh resident of Salal Khad, Kulla Devi wife of Punjab Singh resident of Salal Khad & Mohan Singh son of Charn Dass Thakur resident of Sarotkot are arrested.
Whereas in Police station Pouni FIR No. 22, 23 and 24 of 2021 are registered under Excise Act and arrested three bootleggers namely Karan Singh son of Hem Singh resident of Bullian Pouni, Ratan Singh son of Chattu Ram resident of Bharkh Pouni, Kali Dass son of Sita Ram resident of Bhambla.
In Mahore and Chassana area FIR No 16, 23 & 24 have been lodged under Excise Act against three criminals namely Jarnail Singh son of Baldev Singh resident of Chassana, Kamlesh Singh son of Dewan Singh resident of Mahore and Baljeet Singh son of Puran Singh resident of Bathoie
Furthermore one FIR No 84/2021 is registered under Excise Act against Raghubir Singh son of Bachiter Singh resident of Katra.
Operation was launched under the banner “EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH” under the Supervision of SSP Reasi Shailender Singh in every nook and corner of District Reasi for the last 36 hours in which Lahan was destroyed, illegal distilleries were destroyed and Illicit liquor Seized.
Peoples of Reasi particularly women appreciated the efforts of Reasi Police in taking action against illicit liquor vendors on such a large scale which leads to curb the menace of illicit liquor in the area.
Reasi Police has registered 59 cases against 76 offenders in Excise Act and NDPS Act in last two months.
