In view of the prevailing situation arisen due to outbreak of COVID-19, Chander Mohan Gupta Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Madam Sunita koul Councilor of ward no.4 today on 20/5/2021 distributed dry ration among the needy and downtrodden families residing at Pacca Danga, Moti bazaar & its adjoining areas of ward no.4. Speaking on the occasion, the mayor said that due to continuous lockdowns imposed by the govt. the persons who are daily earners are facing great hardships and unable to feed their families. He appealed to all the social organizations as well as eminent citizens of Jammu to come forward for the noble cause to provide food and other essential commodities to the needy, poor and daily wagers residing in their surrounding during this tough time.
Mayor in presence Adv. Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, Sh Narinder Singh Jamwal Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Standing Committee, Thakur Narayan Singh Jamwal, senior BJP leader Sh Neeraj Anand President and other representatives i.e Sh Shiv Kumar Gupta and Sh. Tushar Mahajan Chamber of Traders Federation Jammu in collaboration with Dabur Pvt Limited of India also distributed fruit juice items to the safaikaramcharies of ward no.7 & 15 at Town Hall Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that Safaisathies of JMC are the backbones of the department and working day and night with full dedication & sincerity by putting their own lives in danger & serving the society in true sense and the JMC is committed to provide every possible assistance to these safaisathies who are real corona warriors and front line workers and working hard in maintaining better cleanliness in the Jammu city and appeal to the public at large to come forward & cooperate with the safai sathies in all aspects during this tough time of COVID-19 so that chain of this deadly disease can be broken successfully.
Later Mayor alongwith Sh kapil Singh Chib Hon’ble Councilor of ward no.64 also visited SMGS Hospital Shalamar Jammu and started the Blood donation camp at Blood Bank of the hospital as this special Blood donation camp was organized Sh Arun Dev Singh president & Sh kapil Singh Mahamantri of BJYM, Abhishek salathia, Atul Sharma, Chetan Wanchoo and other Yuva morcha of BJYM under “Sewa hi Sanghathan” as a missionary approach of the party so that the needy patients may not deprive from shortage of blood. He further said that every activists BJP are committed to serve the society during this period of coronavirus in one way or another
