Jammu, Feb 5: A man was murdered by his brother over an old rivalry in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
The police spokesman here said that one Mohd Sharief murdered his own brother Mohd Hafiz due to an old enmity in Fatehpur village of Rajouri.
Accused Mohammad Sharief and his sons assaulted the deceased and his family members with sharp edged weapons after forcibly entering their house.
Hafiz who was badly injured succumbed to his injuries while on the way to the district hospital Rajouri while his son Gafoor is under treatment, police said.
The police spokesman said that an FIR has been registered and investigation has been taken up. UNI
