Akhnoor, 15th February – The closing ceremony of the one-month Basic Computer Course under the Skill Development Programme, organized for the youth of bordering villages, was held at Beliazmat. The program was conducted under the Civic Action Programme to empower and equip young minds with essential computer skills.
The event was graced by Sh. Suresh Kr Shashni, Commandant, 44 BSF, who presided as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Rajeev Kumar Khugshal and Vikrant Singh along with other BSF Officers.
A total of 30 enthusiastic youths from bordering villages successfully completed the course. The Commandant distributed computer qualification certificates to the participants, acknowledging their dedication and encouraging them to use their newly acquired skills for future opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kr Shashni emphasized the importance of digital literacy in today’s world and reiterated BSF’s commitment to the welfare and development of the local communities. The Skill Development Programme aims to provide valuable learning experiences to rural youth, enabling them to enhance their employability and contribute positively to society.
The event concluded on a high note with participants expressing their gratitude for the initiative, highlighting the BSF’s relentless efforts in fostering skill development and bridging the digital divide in remote areas.
