Jammu, Apr 19: The police of Jammu district under the wise guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Mr Chandan Kohli IPS have taken the challenge to make the district drug-free and in this concern the police of Bus Stand Police Station have done the tremendous job and today foiled an attempt of drug-peddlers to smuggle the drug consignment by arresting one person and seizing large quantity of banned drug.
As per the reports, acting tough on the menace of drug trafficking and substance abuse, dedicated police teams of Police Station Bus Stand, Jammu led by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar assisted by SHO PS Bus Stand Inspector Vishal Dogra while on naka duty near Samrat Hotel point area rounded up a suspect namely Atif Ahmed Digoo S/o Sona ullah Doji R/o Mohalla Haback Shanpora Tehsil Hazaratbal Nigeen Srinagar.
During search 770 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus concealed in a Kellogg’s corn flakes Tetra pack and 04 Nos of 01 litres Tetra packs of Tropicana juice containing Corex like syrup was recovered from his possession..
On this, case FIR No. 28/2023 U/s 8/21/22/NDPS Act got registered at PS Bus Stand and accused was arrested, whereas, further investigation in the said case is going on to reach out the supreme commander of the drug-smuggling.
