Rajouri, November 30: The long pending demand of the inhabitants of the Nowshera sub-division for the installation of a new Ultrasound Machine was fulfilled on Wednesday when the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal visited the sub-district hospital and inaugurated the new machine.
The Deputy Commissioner visited Nowshera town as part of an ongoing week-long Jan Abhiyan under My Town My Pride and also interacted with public representatives and the residents to know their issues/grievances.
It is pertinent to mention here that he already installed Ultrasound Machine in SDH Nowshera was malfunctioning and the people were facing hardships and were getting Ultrasound reports from private clinics on high charges.
In this connection, in the past several deputations have approached Vikas Kundal, DC for the installation of the new Ultrasound machine.
During his visit to the Sub-district hospital at Nowshera, Vikas Kundal, DC accompanied by Additional DC (Nowshera) Kirtar Chand; CMO Rajouri, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, also inspected health care facilities provided to the patients.
“Jammu and Kashmir government is doing everything possible to improve hospital infrastructure, and a new ultrasound machine has been installed as part of this initiative,” said Vikas Kundal.
“The people of Nowshera subdivision, including those from villages along the line of Control (LoC), will now have access to an ultrasound machine in their own sub-district hospital, which is a huge relief for patients who have to travel to Sundebani or Rajouri for the procedure” the DC added.
Civil society members lauded the district administration’s intervention, stating that previously, people faced hardships and had to obtain ultrasounds from other hospitals in and out of the district or from private institutions.
“The people, especially from LoC villages including Sair, Makri, and Namb Kadali, will now have access to ultrasound machines at the Nowshera sub-district hospital, which will be a huge relief for them,” said civil society members.
