Kulgam, November 17, 2025: Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Nalin Prabhat-IPS, visited Kulgam on Monday to offer his heartfelt condolences to the family of Policeman Arshid Ahmad Shah, a Crime Wing Photographer who was martyred in the accidental blast at Nowgam, Srinagar.
During the visit, the DGP met the bereaved family members, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss, and assured them of every possible support from the Police Department. He paid glowing tributes to the martyred officer, acknowledging his courage, commitment, and dedicated service to the force. Shri Prabhat stated that the supreme sacrifice of Arshid Ahmad Shah will always be remembered with honour and gratitude.
The DGP was accompanied by Special DG (Coordination) PHQ Shri S.J.M. Gillani-IPS, IGP Kashmir Zone Shri V.K. Birdi-IPS, DIG SKR Shri Javed Iqbal Mattoo-IPS, SSP Kulgam Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary-IPS, besides other senior police officials.
