Udhampur, November 12:
Hon’ble MLA (West Constituency) Sh. Pawan Gupta today flagged off a group of 40 farmers from Sub-Division Panchari, District Udhampur, for a three-day exposure visit to KVK Bhaderwah (Doda) from November 12 to 14, 2025.
The programme has been organized under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) project titled “Promotion of Commercial Cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”. The objective of the visit is to enhance the capacity building and technical knowledge of farmers by acquainting them with the latest innovations and modern agricultural practices.
While flagging off the group, Sh. Pawan Gupta appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture Department under the HADP initiative and urged farmers to adopt the best practices and technologies observed during the exposure tour.
During the visit, farmers will observe demonstration farms, experimental plots, and plant variety trials at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bhaderwah. They will also interact with KVK scientists and extension officers to gain insights into medicinal and aromatic plants, floriculture, cereals, and vegetable cultivation, along with exposure to new crop technologies and marketing strategies.
The visit is being organized under the close supervision of Chief Agriculture Officer, Sh. Harbans Singh, and SDAO Udhampur, Sh. Ajay Sharma.
