Government Degree College Jourian ( Department of Political Science) in Calloboration with NSS unit organized a number of activities with regard to Ambedkar’s Jayanti. The event took place under the able guidance of Dr. Anuradha Pandoh ( Principal ). In this regard, a lecture was delivered by Prof.Latief Ahmad ( faculty member of political science) on the life, works and achievements of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. Moreover, a quiz cum seminar took place in which various students participated namely — Anjali Devi, Tanisha Choudhary, Sonia Devi, Sumiti Devi, Mahak Manhas, Nitin Kumar and Ranbeer Singh Manhas. Sumiti, Mehak and Tanisha bagged the first, second and Third positions respectively. All the faculty members participated in this event namely — Prof. Suresh Sharma, Prof. Neeraj Verma, prof. Prof. Sushma Kumari, Prof. Vandana Rajput, prof. Sheetal Sharma, Prof. Archana Sharma, prof. Vaishali Mahajan and prof. Kiran Bala.
The event aimed to pay tribute to the architect of Indian Constitution — Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
