Rajouri, March 29: On Saturday, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, reviewed the progress of the ongoing beautification project on the road surrounding the Army’s Advance Landing Ground (ALG-Rane Hawai Patti) and its adjacent areas.
“The meeting was held as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, IAS.
The project aims to transform the area into a visually appealing, pedestrian-friendly zone.
It includes the development of 3D murals depicting martyrs, warriors, cultural heritage, tourist attractions, and prominent institutions; aesthetic enhancements and landscape development; greenery and ornamental plantations; and well-structured footpaths to ensure safe pedestrian movement.
The Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), informed that plastering work on 200 meters of walls has been completed, with the remaining work progressing as scheduled.
Highlighting the project’s significance, ADDC Dr. Thapa emphasized its role in enhancing tourism and contributing to the town’s beautification. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the completion of the project at the earliest. The review meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Maqsood Ahmed; District Statistical and Evaluation Officer (DSEO), Sandeep Sharma; EXEN PWD (R&B), Rajouri Sardar Khan, and project contractors.
