Rajouri, March 25 : A 42-year-old resident of Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) was apprehended near the fence in the Keri sector of Rajouri district on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources said the PoJK resident, identified as Mohd Yaqoob, son of Mohd Sadeeq, and a resident of village Suhana in Kotli district, had reached the fence after crossing the Line of Control (LoC).
He was apprehended near a fence post by an alert sentry who noticed him moving suspiciously.
After detailed questioning at an army camp, Mohd Yaqoob was handed over to Rajouri police for further investigation. Whether he crossed the LoC inadvertently, under the influence of drugs, was acting as a guide for terrorists, or had entered the Indian side with a specific mission remains under investigation.
On February 9, alert troops had similarly apprehended Abdul Rehman from Kotli district after he intruded into the Indian side of the LoC in the Lam sector of Nowshera subdivision.
